Niyomi and Sarav had an unforgettable Tennessee wedding day at The Estate at Cherokee Dock as they blended their Indian culture with the serene beauty of the stunning venue. The Estate at Cherokee Dock was the perfect home away from home for Niyomi and Sarav’s out-of-town guests, who travelled from India to celebrate the couple’s magical love. The fabulous space and beautiful weather made each detail planned by incredible wedding planner, Angela Proffitt, LLC, seamlessly fall into place.
There were several specific Indian design elements incorporated into the decor of the ceremony. The Sageet, a large, green monstera leaf lay flat on a beautiful table; alongside the Sageet were yellow ranunculus, a lotus flower, rice, red powder, beetle nuts, beetle leaves, and coconut. A brass bowl with sunset colored rose petals and lotus floating in the center sat beside these beautiful elements. The ceremony featured a mandap tower; the left side of the mandap was covered with curly, willow branches with greenery incorporated throughout. Shades of ivory, burgundy, pink, raspberry, and peach alongside roses, garden roses, and spray roses were tucked lightly throughout the tower. Garlands in peach and white were seen on the end of the mandap, which created a timeless feel with a traditional modern touch.
The reception design concept was chic, modern, and traditionally beautiful. The use of Manzanita branches with white garland, textured ivory linens, satin, and a bit of golden color made the head table pop while showcasing the couple’s love of nature. The couple wanted to have a true celebration, so they suggested a twenty-four foot custom bar trimmed in gold and mirrors with a white dance floor and nine large Swarovski chandeliers hanging at various heights.
