Alexa and Michael had a fabulous weekend wedding spent with their closest family and friends in paradise. The wedding experience felt like a vacation for everyone involved, and it could not have been more perfect. Alexa and Michael privately rented the Coconut Palm Inn from Thursday to Sunday and celebrated all weekend long. Alexa and Michael met during college after she spontaneously left a note on Michael’s car. Coincidentally, this special day happened to be Michael’s birthday. Alexa left him the perfect birthday gift, and little did they know, they would become husband and wife on November 4, 2017! Michael proposed to Alexa during a fun road trip to Bar Harbor, Maine. The couple went on a hike called Bee Hive. When they reached the plummet, Michael asked Alexa to spend the rest of her life with him. It was an absolutely perfect, romantic proposal.
Alexa and Michael had a beautiful wedding day from beginning to end. The groom and his groomsmen spent the day kayaking, paddle boarding, playing football, and swimming in the pool. Alexa and her bridal party enjoyed getting ready in the bridal suite and soaking up the gorgeous scenery from the room. The weather was magical and stunning; sprinkles began to fall as Alexa walked down the aisle, which concerned her, but resulted in a gorgeous rainbow over the venue. Alexa, Michael, and their guests genuinely enjoyed every moment by not having cell phones out during the ceremony. “Everyone commented on how happy they were about the officiant requesting this. It really made everyone truly enjoy and be in the moment rather than try to take photos and videos.”
The gorgeous wedding vision was rustic chic with romantic touches. The ceremony featured bamboo chairs with white cushions for guest seating and a beautiful driftwood wedding arch adorned with greenery and champagne and pink roses. Lanterns and starfish lined the walkway of the aisle. The wedding reception took place outside at the Coconut Palm Inn. An outdoor tent draped the beautiful white chandeliers, and the lovely centerpieces were designed of driftwood and mini and normal sized white and pink roses.

The beautiful reception had a buffet style feel with a focus on spending time with friends and family rather than dedicating long amounts of time on traditional wedding activities. The maid of honor and best man gave their brief speeches, then guests enjoyed dinner, and the celebration began! “We had a photo booth that all of our guests enjoyed, an open bar throughout the evening, great music, and best of all, great company. After the reception ended, the guests were invited to continue the celebration at the pool for an after party pool party! We had lit up beach balls inside of the pool and a few bites to eat.” Alexa and Michael’s weekend wedding celebration was full of unforgettable memories that they were so happy to share with their beloved wedding guests.
