“It’s never too late to fulfill a dream. And my dream for years was to have my own dream wedding,” stated Mayela Polinarios. Creating lavish and elegant weddings for brides all over the South Florida region is what Mayela Polinarios has been doing for several years as the owner of Polinarios Event Rental. Mayela’s eye for detail in designing a luxurious wedding event inspires the brides that she meets when working with them on selecting wedding rentals. As for Mayela, she and her husband Oscar were married by the civil court several years ago. They always dreamed of having their own elaborate wedding, but never seemed to find the time to plan it.
The first step Mayela took when planning her wedding day was choosing a venue that would bring the vision she had dreamed of for years to life. For her ceremony, she chose Plymouth Congregational Church in Coconut Grove. For the reception, she was looking for a venue that was open, elegant, and airy. After visiting several hotels and venues, she chose the Hotel Colonnade Coral Gables. It was the perfect venue that offered her an open canvas to design the wedding of her dreams.
When asked how she incorporated her design style into the venue, Mayela responded, “As I walked into the room, I tried to capture the feeling of the room and tried to see it through the eyes of the guests. I wanted them to see every detail and feel as though they were a part of this romantic celebration of love.” The design concept was a romantic Winter style. Mayela brought a color palette of blue, silver, and white into the design. For lighting, she chose blue tones for a sense of romance that worked beautifully with the silver and white color palette. In the design, there were beautiful white, cream, and off-white flowers everywhere in tall glass cylinder vases. The flowers included orchids, garden roses, calla lilies, and hydrangeas. The flowers were eye catching, and the lighting that reflected off the sheer draping gave the room the romantic atmosphere that Mayela wanted to create.
When asked to describe her wedding day, Mayela replies, “There are so many emotions to describe. A lot of gratitude to all of the guests that flew in from all over. The satisfaction of having a wedding that I created for Oscar and myself. The amazing feeling that when through me as I walked down the stairs and to see everyone and the venue to look even more beautiful than I ever expected was so incredible. And then to see my mother so happy because this was the wedding she always wanted me to have and enjoy. It’s hard to find all the words to describe this memorable experience.”
Mayela states, “My experience with my wedding was wonderful. It was the wedding of my dreams. Remember, it is never too late to fulfill your dreams of your own stunning and memorable wedding. All you have to do is dream.”
