Chanelle and James are a stunning couple from Australia, who met as young children in primary school. They sat next to each other in class, and then met again as young adults on the Gold Coast. James remembered Chanelle from primary school, and reintroduced himself to his future wife. The rest was history! James proposed to the love of his life in Playa Del Carmen in Mexico. “The proposal had taken months of planning! After we had booked in our stay at the Excellence Playa Mujures, James secretly called the hotel to arrange an upgrade. He requested that they pretend that the upgrade and a private yacht trip were complementary as it was our anniversary when we were staying there. This was all to make sure that I didn’t suspect why James was spoiling me so much! When the Captain stopped the yacht near a private beach, James went down on one knee on the bow of the boat and asked me to marry him with a stunning, personally designed diamond ring from Fairfax & Roberts. Of course, I said yes.”
Chanelle and James had a beautiful vision for their wedding day; they wanted to be surrounded by romance, love, and family. The reception design featured gorgeous roses and silver and crystal elements. An abundance of draping pink and white roses filled the room, which was a dream come true for Chanelle. The reception also included a stunning tea light chandelier hanging from the ceiling; this created such a magical and starry ambiance for Chanelle and James’ dreamy wedding day.

The couple’s favorite memory from the wedding day was their first dance, which was to “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” by Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons. They also cherished spending quality time with their beloved friends and family members. Chanelle and James were so excited to celebrate their love surrounded by the ones who love them the most. Their most important piece of advice for creating and maintaining a strong relationship is to, “spend as much quality time with each other as you can. It’s so easy to be caught up in the day to day, but spending one on one time together is so important.” For future brides, Chanelle says, “spend as much time with each other as possible on this special day- the day goes so fast, and it’s a celebration of your new lives together, so savor every moment together.” We are so excited for this stunning couple and wish them a lifetime of magic!
