Jose Enrique & Nancy

Nancy and Jose Enrique, who she calls Enrique, met in 2011 at the W Hotel in Hollywood, California. It was Nancy’s first night there after moving from New York City. Nancy was listening to Macy Gray perform in the lounge when she noticed Enrique staring at her. As they locked eyes she knew he would be the one and it was love at first sight. After the couple moved to Houston, Texas, they decided to take a trip back out to LA. They went back to the W Hotel and in front of over 200 people, Enrique took Nancy to the stage and proposed on October 6, 2013.

When they began planning their wedding, Nancy remembered seeing a wedding in Islamorada, Florida two years before. The location was beautiful and felt like the most special place in the world to her. She looked around and the couple got married at the Casa Morada Resort in Islamorada, Florida on December 13, 2014. Their colors were navy and silver, and the bridesmaids and groomsmen wore grey.

Nancy got ready wih her sister and best friend while the other girls got ready in a separate room. With her family and friends, and a glass a champagne, Nancy got ready for her big moment. The couple’s first look was when Nancy walked down the aisle to her groom. They each wrote personal vows to the other and even though Nancy felt like her vow was shorter, every word they said was just right and made the day seem magical.

It was an elegant and chic wedding in sunny Florida. There was a 7-piece Latin band, a fire pit on the hill with a popcorn and candy station, a photo booth, lots of games, so much food, and dancing all night long. But with everything going on and all of the celebration, Nancy’s favorite part of the day was having her friends and family there to enjoy it all with her. The weekend was perfect.
