Spend Your Winter in Paradise

Spring is getting closer and closer with promises of sunshine and open-toed shoes, but cold weather is still very prominent across many parts of the country. Many of you are dreaming of warm beaches and tropical paradise, making winter the perfect time for a beautiful destination wedding! Instead of dreaming of being in a warm, tropical location, enjoy your toes in the sand on a tropical island with your closest loved ones. We recently spoke with 2 Travel Anywhere about the perfect locations for a destination wedding during winter.

Any warm, tropical location is perfect for a destination wedding in winter, but 2 Travel Anywhere has a few favorites: Mexico, Turks and Caicos, St. Lucia, and Hawaii.

Mexico: Riviera Maya has less expensive airfare, making it a more affordable option for families and friends. The all-inclusive options are one of the more popular choices. Fascinating Maya and Aztec heritage, gorgeous cities, non-stop flights, vibrant nightlife, and endless beaches are just a few of the fabulous aspects of a destination wedding in Mexico.

Turks and Caicos: Beaches Resorts has one of the best wedding packages available and it is all-inclusive! Turks and Caicos is located on twelve miles of gorgeous white powder sand and is one of the most pristine beaches of the Caribbean.

St Lucia: St. Lucia is an all-inclusive option in Hawaii with many exciting activities. If you enjoy hiking, climbing The Piton is a must; this is the highest peak of the island. Visit Sulphur Springs, the world’s only drive-in volcano. St. Lucia is a small, lush tropical gem with gorgeous beaches beholding beautiful coral reefs, hawksbill turtles, and pilot whales. St. Lucia is rich in culture, history, and natural wonders.

Hawaii: It can be difficult to decide which island to visit in Hawaii, because they are all wonderful for different reasons. Some top choices include Maui, Oahu, Big Island, and Kauai. Also, no passport is needed for U.S. citizens to travel to Hawaii! Hawaii has some of the finest beaches and best surfing and water sports opportunities in the world.

“The great thing about having a tropical destination wedding in the winter is that the weather is excellent year round. Typically, winter-time here is the most perfect weather: tropical, not too humid, and less rain showers. You are more likely to have perfect weather in the winter for tropical locations.”

When planning your destination wedding, 2 Travel Anywhere recommends avoiding holiday travel dates as this is one of the most expensive times of the year to travel, and the resorts are more crowded around this time. Also, plan as early as possible. A year in advance is ideal.

We know your destination wedding will be blissful and full of paradise!

Mint Cheers
