Annie & Jared began their love story after meeting through mutual friends during college. However, their first date wasn’t an ordinary first date. Annie & Jared met on a blind date after being set up by their friends! The date took place on 2/22/2011 which led to a match made in heaven and Annie’s special lucky number, “222!”
Jared created a very sweet scavenger hunt in the couple’s brand new apartment over the Christmas holiday, which led to the perfect proposal! Jared planned the proposal in such a unique, great way, leading to a very surprised and excited Annie!
Annie & Jared got married at Blackhaven Wedding Gardens in Lebanon, TN. on October 20th, 2012. After a lot of discussion, Annie & Jared decided to keep the wedding as traditional as possible to savor traditional wedding experiences. The couple said goodbye to each other after the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding, and did not see each other again until Annie walked down the aisle. “It was the perfect moment for both of us. There was so much palpable energy when we saw each other for the first time that I will never forget that moment. It was breathtaking. I literally gasped!”
The ceremony was held outside under a beautiful round gazebo structure with white drapery while the aisles were lined with shepherds hooks and white lanterns. The beautiful arch was covered in lights and vines at the entrance that led toward the front of the ceremony site with cherished guests seated on both sides. During the reception, tables were covered with dark teal linens with gorgeous floral arrangements including purple and white flowers with peacock feathers as accents. The wedding cake truly blew everyone away. The cake was five layers tall and absolutely fantastic.
Annie & Jared were surrounded by friends, family, and their cherished photographer, Nikki Hollis from Nikki Hollis Photography. Annie & Jared felt truly blessed to have such incredible vendors throughout the wedding experience. The beginning of the day started with an incredibly hospitable beautifying experience from the ladies at Harlow Salon on Music Row in Nashville who provided a breakfast bar and mimosas in addition to the beautiful hair and makeup looks! Then, Blackhaven Wedding Gardens set aside separate rooms for the groomsmen and bridesmaids to dress and prepare. Blackahven Wedding Gardens even had a place reserved for Annie & Jared to have their first meal together as husband and wife. The wedding guests were taken care of and fed at the same time. “After lots of laughs and dancing, we ended the night perfectly. I could not have asked for a better experience.”
The wedding day was unforgettable and beautiful for Annie, Jared, and their loving friends and family. From the bride: “Jared and I exchanged letters that we had written the night before the wedding. Those letters were read moments before I stepped into my wedding dress and walked down the aisle to greet my soon-to-be husband. I still have those letters framed in our home. Three years later, we still read them and remember how precious those words were to each of us.”
