As pool days become numbered and Fall quickly approaches, most of us are thinking about big sweaters, pumpkin spice lattes, and college football, but for Fall brides and grooms, the changing of seasons means copper and brass accents, bold and bright colors, and cocktail style receptions.
Whether it be matte gold flatware, elegant silver rimmed glassware, or bright gold votives, metallic accents have made an appearance at many weddings this year. This Fall, however, copper and brass are taking over the event scene.
Brass candelabras with tall lit candles add a warm ambiance to any space while copper chargers can complement either a casual or upscale table scape. Pops of this coveted Fall metallic may even be found at a Moscow Mule bar or a copper tray used to pass out delicious appetizers during cocktail hour.
Tree leaves aren’t the only things changing color this Fall. Brides and grooms are taking a note from Mother Nature and are moving past the monochromatic and soft color palettes of Summer while moving into the bright and bold color schemes inspired by Fall. Burgundy paired with powder blue or gold, plum with touches of green and pink, grey accented with dusty blues and ivory, or navy complemented by orange and brown are just a few examples of gorgeous Fall color schemes. Couples are also embracing bold jewel tones. There is no color palette too vibrant for this Fall 2015 wedding season.
Fall brides and grooms also want their guests to get out on the dance floor and enjoy themselves. Instead of serving a large plated dinner where seating is required, many brides and grooms want to treat their guests to a selection of heavy hors d’oeuvres all night long. Guests can mingle while eating next to tall cocktail tables, or take a quick break from tearing up the dance floor to lounge in a lush seating area while enjoying a bite-sized crab cake. Raised farm tables with barstools also add dimension to the space and provide ample amount of seating for guests to watch the wedding festivities from above average seating level.
The dinner of choice is being revamped, but dessert tables and bars are also being innovated. An assortment of mini pies displayed on thick sliced wood chargers with a signature drink of Apple Cider Sangria served on top of whiskey barrels creates the perfect Fall flavor and feel.
Brides and grooms are embarking on a new journey in life as a married couple making Fall the perfect season for marriage as a time known for showing the world just how beautiful change can be.
