Whimsical Romance in Key West

The Casa Marina in Key West is the perfect location for a gorgeous South Florida wedding with turquoise waters as the stunning background. This beautiful style shoot designed by Julie Schreck of Simply You Weddings and Avant-Gardens was colorfully accentuated with linens and florals and aqua marine accents. The design was whimsical and modern while being classic all in one.

This design represents all of the elements of the natural beauty of the ocean from the exquisite views of the water to the gorgeous sunsets with unique orange roses, yellow craspedia, orange tulips, yarrow, yellow mini callas, orange celosia, yellow oncidium, orange ranunculus, white hydrangeas, and japhet orchids. The natural beauty of the sun was truly present in this decor.

The linen used for this shoot was natural with a flocked orange. This unique linen truly tied all of the elements together in such a beautiful way. Turquoise charger plates gave a great contrast to the linen and truly popped. The sea inspired this gorgeous selection of linens and rentals with orange and yellow linens and flowers representing the sun to turquoise candle holders and charger plates to represent the beautiful ocean. Even sea shells were used to give the shoot an extra special touch.

The gorgeous invitations, menus, and place cards were printed on a heavyweight shimmer paper and embellished with rhinestones. The mini cakes carried colors of gold, cream, and light shades of yellow while the icing shimmered in the sunlight as the bride’s beauty radiated in the Ellis Bridal Collection’s ‘Little White Dress.’ This dress is a silk satin piece with an organza and lace overlay with a V-neckline with lace straps and covered buttons making it the perfect gown for a beachside wedding.

The bride also wore two different headpieces. A silver headpiece with rhinestones and pearls for the ceremony and a gold and clear rhinestone broach with white crystallized tulle designed by Judi Bradford!
