AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS
Last night’s American Music Awards at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles was a glamorous affair. Taylor Swift stole the show with her performance of “Blank Space” and more stars opted for sweet and meaningful ballads that had us all in tears. Of course, we had our eyes on the fashion of the night! Although many turned away from winter white (why would you!?) we still found some amazing gowns that had us dreaming wedding dreams.
Take Selena Gomez above who belted out her new single “The Heart Wants What it Wants”, a touching, personal song about her ex Justin Bieber. The star killed the song, but I absolutely adored her blush Armani chiffon gown. This color would be perfect for the modern bride who wants to mix things up on her big day!
Nicki Minaj surprised everyone when she sang her slower tempo rap as well…and that she was fully clothed! However, I love her white gown and think the sleeve and bodice detailing are beautiful! Ms. Beckinsale also stunned in white. She wore a Kaufmanfranco gown that had a plunging neckline and cutouts. And I loved her snake diamond necklace!
Although both of these pop stars are wearing black, I could not help but envision these gowns done in white… and then they would be so perfect for an elegant, chic, evening wedding! Fergie donned a Spring 2015 Halston Heritage gown with a sexy slit. I love the metallic details in the belt and shoes- a big trend in weddings as well! And Selena’s backless Armani Privé stunner fits her like a glove. I love the simple styling of her hair and makeup too- the perfect wedding day look!
I love the sophisticated pantsuit rocked by Jessie J. A pantsuit is a great option for a wedding that’s more low-key or for the bride who loves to rock one. Don’t feel like you have to wear a gown on your wedding day because as Jessie J proves, you can look equally as fabulous in a pantsuit!
And I simply have to give Taylor Swift a shout out for having the best performance of the night. And how chic would her performance number be for a Bachelorette party? A girl can dream, right?
