Miranda Lambert

CMA AWARDS 2014

Last night, Nashville hosted the CMA Awards and the stars came out in full force and sparkle. I absolutely loved the fun that many of the stars had on the red carpet from skirts with crop tops, to full sequins, and everything in between. Below are some of my favorites that I think transition into bridal inspiration!

First of all, the above photo of Miranda Lambert at the Press Conference after the awards is absolutely stunning. Clean and sophisticated, Miranda perfectly complements her four trophies. I absolutely love this dress for a wedding rehearsal dinner frock! Chic, yet totally feminine all at the same time.

Although many questioned Kacey Musgraves’ hair-do (to which the country star stated, “I’m from Texas! I love big hair, it’s full of secrets!) I really do love her Oscar de la Renta column gown in this light pink. The sequins are fancy enough for the event but don’t overpower the country crooner. And the shade is fantastic for her skin tone. Love it Kacey!

Carrie Underwood belted out her latest smash “Something in the Water” in this fantastically romantic tulle gown. I love the grey lace appliques as well- a trend we saw very popular at New York Bridal Fashion Week this year! It also perfectly accentuates that sweet baby bump. This would be a gorgeous wedding gown!

Carrie also rocked the bump in this sweet, very blush, cocktail dress. This would be a totally fun bachelorette party dress to wear out on the town. The full skirt makes it super feminine and fun. Love it! And can we talk about those Brian Atwood shoes?! Killer.

Leave it to my girl Miranda Lambert to have my favorite look of the night. This subtle pink satin gown made Miranda look like a Hollywood siren. Paired with her vintage waves and raspberry lip, Ms. Shelton nailed it. So fantastic!! Again, pink is still very popular with wedding gowns today and this dress would be stunning for the vintage style bride!

CMA4

Nicole Kidman, there to support her country hubby Keith Urban (remember his guitarist’s style shoot with us at East Ivy!?)  looked like an ethereal dream in this bohemian lace gown. Nicole, who is normally in very streamlined pieces, looked amazing in this. Nicole, you should wear more of this! Again, this gown would be amazing for a very vintage/bohemian wedding vibe. Loved it paired with very neutral makeup and beachy waves.

Frankie Ballard had my pick for best dressed male last night in this classic tuxedo and bowtie number. Take note gentlemen, you can never go wrong with this classic look! CMA5

Last, but not least, we had to give a shout out to Garth Brooks who was rocking some cufflinks and studs from one of our absolutely favorite Nashville wedding pros- Street Tuxedo! They are the perfect place to find your evening look from cufflinks to tuxes. Speaking of which, come to our hosted Groom’s Night Out tonight at 630pm! Details? Click here!
