One of the most anticipated weddings finally commenced this past weekend in Venice, Italy. Hollywood “Player” George Clooney hung up his infamous title in exchange for “Husband” to the utterly gorgeous, extremely sophisticated, and superbly talented human rights lawyer, Amal Alamuddin. (Ladies, lets agree that if he had to pick one other than ourselves, we’d pick her!)
The wedding took place on September 27 in Venice surrounded by family and friends. The couple opted for traditional vows, platinum rings, and the most romantic kiss to seal the deal. The ceremony took place in a gilded hall at Italy’s historic Aman Canal Grande Venice as the intimate 100 guests clapped, cheered, and even shed a few tears.
Bride wore custom Oscar de la Renta and Groom wore an ultra-fine wool/cashmere tuxedo from Giorgio Armani. Although George looked like perfection, no one could upstage Amal in her French lace wedding gown. It was hand-embroidered with pearls and diamanté accents. And that train! So gorgeous.

Of course, after the couple celebrated the night away Saturday and enjoyed their family and friends’ company poolside on Sunday including a delectable brunch, the couple made it official in a civil ceremony. How divine does Amal look in her Stella McCartney pantsuit? So chic! When People asked the couple what they were most looking forward to after the wedding, they responded,
“We’re looking forward to everything”
