Christie and Phillip’s love story just proves that fate has a funny way of working itself out. The couple first crossed paths through mutual friends at Auburn University. One of Phillip’s closest friends also happened to be a good friend of Christie in graduate school. Unbeknownst to Christie, Phillip was moving into town to begin working for a company… that just happened to be run by Christie’s father. Could it get better than that? After spending time as friends, the couple soon realized they wanted something more. And as the old story goes, the rest was history.
When it came to designing her big day, Christie knew she wanted old-school elegance, but with a modern feel. Alice Hendry designed a timeless spring affair that boasted beautiful white and peach floral with accents of gold. Of course, the botanical garden of Cheekwood lent itself perfectly for an indoor/outdoor spring wedding celebration.
Crystal chandeliers added to the timeless elegance of the space and were used to glamorize the event inside and out. Guests danced the night away on an all white dance floor and enjoyed every bite on top of gold chargers and beautifully designed paper products. A perfect representation of the bride and groom!
When asked about what was special about their day, the bride and groom responded with a simple answer: “Everything!”
