There is one thing I will admit outrightly: I have sweet teeth. Not a sweet tooth. Literally all of my teeth are sweet. I can never say no to desserts whether it’s a Vegan Oatmeal Cookie at local Nashville coffee house Fido or those “too delicious to be legal” Coconut Cupcakes from Sprinkles Cupcakes (they are throughout the country, go to one now to see what I’m talking about). I also outrightly believe that life is too short not to live it sweetly.
This brings me to our Photo Find Friday: Naked Cakes! The newest trend to take over the wedding cake world is a beautifully constructed cake sans fondant or frosting. It lets the cake and its fillings do all the talking. A fan of cake over frosting myself, I am loving this trend and the cakes still look absolutely stunning and elegant. We have amazing professionals to thank for that!

I love how both of these used gorgeous pink and purple flowers to decorate the white cake. You can also see how you could have clean frosting in between layers, or more of an organic and raw feel by smearing the frosting between layers.
