If you read, watch, or follow any type of news you may have heard it is one of the biggest weekends here in Nashville: CMA Fan Fare. People flock from all over the world to see over 400 artists from local songwriters, southern sensations, and the biggest country superstars. We here in Nashville are very proud of our Southern roots and for our great city to host so many folk!
Therefore, it was only necessary that we share some of our favorite country star’s “wedding-esque” looks from the CMT Awards which just happened this past week to kick off the festival. I included some classic whites, some pants, and even a pink number to simply remind you that when it comes to selecting your dress, anything goes. Always remember it is your big day and that decision is ultimately you. Pick something that is an extension of you. In Nashville, its all about being true to yourself!
I think Brooklyn Decker’s sweet Jill Stuart A-line would be the perfect dress for a Wedding Rehearsal. It is as sweet as Southern Sweet Tea! You can have fun with color in your accessories or keep it classic and clean like Ms. Decker did.
LeAnn Rimes is a vision in all white in this Rani Zakhem gown. The deep-V definitely screams award show, and I would suggest raising it for your wedding day. However, I still love the simplicity of this gown and it just flows!
Miranda Lambert’s mini was my favorite look of the night. It fits her like a glove and the cream color with just enough rhinestones is the perfect combination for a reception dress. You could dance the night away in this Celia Kritharioti dress. And I love her metallic accessories- metallics are one of wedding’s biggest trends!
Jennifer Nettles is country royalty and she knocked it out of the park Wednesday night with these Max Mara trouser pants and Halston Heritage sequined top. Again, I love the idea of a crisp white pant for a rehearsal dinner. Trousers are a huge trend this year, and it adds a touch of sophistication to any affair. Consider them for some of your wedding festivities!
Finally, I had to throw in this gown by Lorena Sarbu and worn by Kellie Pickler. It fits her to perfection and all of the hair and makeup play perfectly with the color of the year- orchid! This dress would be equally as incredible in white, but I kind of love the hot pink!
