or "before I do" services that will give you the
tools to start planning your blissful day with a
little direction. This may include customized
vendor referrals, comprehensive consulta-
tions, timelines, setting budget parameters,
provide helpful planning documents, help lo-
cating a suitable venue, even minor contract
review.
Partial Planning
The next step up is partial planning; this
allows the planner to be a bit more afford-
able as you will split the workload with your
planner. Typically, the planner will walk you
through every aspect of the planning pro-
cess, will do the above mentioned, plus ne-
gotiate your contracts saving you from many
costly mistakes, plan your menu with you,
offer design and color concepts, help with
seating and floor plan, plus walk you through
the balance of "planning 101", handle out of
town rooming, help manage your guest list,
run your rehearsal, coordinate all the ven-
dors for your wedding day, and produce and
run all elements of the wedding day.
Full Service Planning
Then you have full service planning, this
ladies is the crème de la crème of planning
services. With this service the planner will
walk you through every aspect of the plan-
ning process, does all of the above, and
will do almost everything for you. The client
makes all of the final decisions, but the plan-
ner does all of the legwork. Most brides still
want to be proactive in the planning process,
but with this service they rely much more
heavily on the planner. Just think unlimited
access to planning bliss, from invites, bridal
shower, rehearsal dinner, logistics, transpor-
tation, attire, concept, flowers, favors, lin-
ens, welcome bags, schedules, place cards,
tables numbers, all the essentials and more,
down to the last little detail on your wedding
day. They will even use their buying power to
get you better deals on all of your services,
saving you time and money. With this service
you just show up and say, "I do".
Day of Planning
This is a great service for the bride who
has done all the planning for her wedding,
but just needs help pulling the final details
together. Generally the planner will want to
work with a bride at least two weeks prior to
the wedding in order to get all of the perti-
nent details and contracts from you. There is
usually at least one face-to-face meeting with
the planner to do a site walk. This ensures
the planner will have all of the elements you
have planned, logistics, and floor plan. The
planner will follow up with all vendors prior
to the wedding, go over timelines, set up
etc. The planner will orchestrate and manage
your entire day from start to finish proper set
up, timing, final numbers, to ensure you have
a flawless ceremony and reception.
Regardless of your budget parameters,
the time, stress, and cost savings that ac-
company hiring a planner is invaluable. With
all of the planning options you can't possibly
go wrong, so don't pass on the planner.
