lexandra and Jose both enjoyed the sport of fishing. For over
ten years both had been attending the same fishing tournament
in the Bahamas' but had never met. Then one year Alexandra's
grandmother knew Jose and decided to introduce him to Alex-
andra. From the moment when Jose met Alexandra he knew that
she was the woman he would marry one day.
Jose decided to propose to Alexandra on her birthday. He made arrange-
ments to pop the question at her favorite restaurant that over looked the Miami
Skyline. During dinner, Jose was a little nervous. Then towards the end of the
dinner he turned to Alexandra and asked her for her hand in marriage. Alex-
andra was surprised and overwhelmed with emotions. With tears of joy she
said yes.
The day finally arrived and it was very hectic from the start. The bride was
running around in the morning hours finishing last minute errands. She and
her bridesmaids arrived at the Fontainebleau Hotel around 1 pm. Then the
hairdresser, makeup artist, and photographer, Rodrigo Varela arrived. Rodrigo
began to take detail shots while the ladies were having their hair and make-up
done. Alexandra and her bridesmaids enjoyed spending time sharing memo-
ries while getting ready for the ceremony.
When Alexandra arrived at the church with her wedding party she couldn't
believe that her wedding day was already here. Then Alexandra began to walk
down the aisle in her beautiful gown and wearing a very special "mantilla" that
has been in her family for over six decades. As she walked towards Jose she
felt very calm.
The overall theme of the wedding was a winter wonderland. All of the décor
was white and silver, with icy blue lighting. From the tables scapes, linens,
florals and to the lighting all the details were there to give each guest a feeling
of winter wonderland in Miami Beach. It was truly a magical December evening
for Alexandra and Jose to share with their family and guests.
