Fall Chic Reception

Fall is a great season for a wedding. The weather is perfect for an outdoor wedding and reception. This was the vision for our bride and groom, Kayte and Ben Hendry who brought to life their Southern Chic Wedding at Belle Meade Plantation.

To accomplish a fun and informal atmosphere, the color palette chosen was bright marigold yellow and persimmon. This was perfect to pull from the natural fall seasonal colors that surrounded the plantation.

Photos by: Divine Images

The reception began with a cocktail hour at the carriage house decorated in an english/french country design using marigold yellow, persimmon and burlap linens. Boxwood garlands draped the entry ways and boxwood wreaths on the windows of the carriage house. The chocolate brown suede sofas billowed with burlap pillows silkscreened with details of the wedding day making them fun keepsakes! Country ham biscuits and firefly tea signature drinks were passed while all enjoyed the gourmet cheese displays and branded "H" toast points!

Photos by: Divine Images

Dark wood sideboards were decorated with glass canisters of oranges and seeded eucalyptus. Moss grapevine frames accented with florals displayed photos of Ben & Kayte telling the story of their proposal, engagement, parties and bridal portrait.

Photos by: Divine Images

The wedding cake was displayed in the middle of the carriage house on the dance floor draped with ivory muslin fabric and persimmon ribbon. The apple spice wedding cake was stenciled with a beautiful marigold yellow motif and displayed on a dark wood plateau garnished with nosegays and candlelight on beautiful apricot filigree style linens.

Photos by: Divine Images

The most beautiful detail of all was the Full Moon glowing over the carriage house and on the lawn highlighting the antique horse carriage overflowing with gifts. The celebration continued with dancing in the carriage house. As the evening drew to a conclusion, the guests gathered with whimsical ribbon wands waving them ushering Ben and Kayte off with a fun farewell! At the carriage house entrance, the band strolled out to play as the happy couple left in the vintage jaguar trailing with ribbons and a "Just Married" sign! The old smokehouse brick wall had one more surprise hosting an amber lit motif with the message "Kayte and Ben....Live Happily Ever After"!

Groomsmen's gifts

We look to our friends again at Wedding Depot for the best Groomsmen gifts out there. As great of a gift as flasks are, guys also appreciate the little things in life. Nice silver cufflinks can start your friends off right with their professional wardrobes.

Monogrammed toiletry travel bags will save them from carrying their things in a Ziploc and will, hopefully, help them stay organized.

Other useful items such as money clips, utility knives, and personalized pens are three things that guys will always need in their lives.

When investing in meaningful gifts for these important people that we want to share this joyous occasion with, be thoughtful. Take your time to make these guys happy; after all, they are the ones in charge of the bachelor party.
Be sure to check out more great gift ideas at WeddingDepot.com
