Katie and Jonathan had a blissful South Florida wedding day on October 29, 2017 at the lovely Bonnet House Museum and Gardens. The sweet couple chose October 29th for their wedding date as this was their dating anniversary! The couple met through eHarmony and were engaged one year later. Katie and Jonathan absolutely love Disney, which led Jonathan to plan a beautifully thoughtful proposal. He spent months creating a storybook chronicling their relationship from the day they matched on eHarmony to now. He incorporated the online conversations and turned them into a Katie and Jonathan Disney fairytale book!
The couple’s love of Disney was incorporated into the wedding vision. They created a subtle Disney theme amidst the gorgeous floral backdrop of the Bonnet House Museum & Gardens. Katie and Jonathan chose to keep the floral design more minimal as to not distract from the natural serenity of the venue. Yellow sunflowers and navy and teal daisies were used for the floral design and boutonnieres per the bride’s request; she was so excited to include her favorite flowers for the big day! Katie and Jonathan chose navy as their main color palette with teal and grey design elements. Disney princess themed centerpieces adorned the reception tables, and there was true magic in the air.
Katie and Jonathan had a wonderful experience at the Bonnet House Museum and Gardens from beginning to end! The couple loves to visit museums, so when they discovered the gorgeous Bonnet House Museum and Gardens in South Florida, they fell in love with the venue’s breathtaking setting and outdoor Verandah, which was the perfect space the ceremony and reception. The Bonnet House Museum & Gardens included all of the couple’s wedding day needs and served as an incredible backdrop for the magical fairytale wedding day.

Katie and Jonathan had an unforgettable wedding experience from beginning to end. They were so excited to bring their wedding vision to life and live their very own Disney fairytale wedding day! From the bride, “My main highlight was simply being surrounded by our closest family and friends. We had about 50 people total at our wedding, which included the wedding party, so it was an intimate gathering and both Jonathan and I preferred it that way. I also loved how we were able to have the ceremony and reception in the same exact location on the property – outside on the Verandah under a big, clear tent which we could see the moon and stars through, and that was situated directly across from Fort Lauderdale Beach.” From the groom, “My highlight was seeing Katie walk down the aisle. I hadn’t seen her all day and had no idea how she was going to look, and finally seeing her made the whole experience real. She looked beautiful. Another highlight was the dancing. I don’t dance in public very often (or ever, really), so it was fun to let loose and not have to think about other people’s opinions. Our DJ, Diego, was awesome and really listened to everything we wanted and delivered on it.”
