Benjawan and Edward had a lovely Key West wedding day on November 24, 2017, full of serene beauty and romance. The gorgeous ceremony took place at Fort Zachary Taylor with an exciting reception to follow and Hot Tin Roof at Ocean Key Resort. The fabulous couple met for the first time in 2010 when Edward was looking for a new home. He was introduced to Benjawan for the first time as his realtor; she showed up for their first meeting at Edward’s previous home, and he saw her beautiful, vibrant smile. Benjawan helped Edward sell his home quickly, but that also meant that he would not get to see her gorgeous smile as much as he wanted. Benjawan and Edward developed a beautiful friendship throughout the home selling process. Over the next several years, Benjawan and Edward became very close and developed a timeless relationship full of genuine love and a deep appreciation for each other. Edward was fascinated and impressed by Benjawan; she is an amazing mother to five kids and has lived such a full life. Benjawan and Edward fell deeply and authentically in love and have adored each moment spent together.

On August 16th, 2016, Edward proposed to the love of his life on one of their favorite beaches, Carlsbad Beach in California, during sunset with her three boys. Edward placed a stunning, extravagant diamond ring in a treasure chest with a note with questions that read, “Yes, No, Not Yet, and Never?” He then asked, “Will you be the better half of the best part of my life?” and Benjawan said, “yes!” Benjawan and Edward were completely overjoyed and could not stop smiling while feeling such warmth in their hearts. Benjawan chose the wedding date one year after the engagement. Their two-year long engagement was a precious time in their lives, and they are so grateful for their relationship that stemmed from a wonderful friendship and blossomed into a beautiful marriage.

The wedding vision included Key West romance and tropical flair with teal and guava design elements. Teal tulle adorned the ceremony arch with teal bows wrapped around the chairs. There were personalized teal items, including teal sunglasses, fans, chapstick, and water bottles with teal labels. The pristine white chairs along the ceremony’s pathway were draped with starfish, and the sandy aisle was lined with conch shells, starfish, and plentiful flower petals. The wedding cake featured a teal ombre design with guava colored sea shells and flowers. The wedding design was absolutely breathtaking and tastefully planned to make sure each detail was perfectly coordinated.

When Benjawan and Edward saw each other for the first time, they were completely blown away. From the bride, “I was walking up to him so his back was to me, he already looked so handsome from behind, when I came up to him and he turned around. I said, ‘you are so handsome and I am so lucky you’re marrying me!’ I was overwhelmed and giddy. He was just speechless and tearing up.” From the groom, “I turned around to face her and I thought she was absolutely beautiful. In an instant, the thought of Benjawan being my wife for the rest of my life felt very true to my heart at that moment. My eyes welled up, turned red, my throat began to swell and I could not speak. I tried to talk 2 different times but the words would not come out of my mouth. As I was wiping the tear from my eye, I paused and it allowed me to say the words “you’re absolutely beautiful” while I thought to myself this truly is the best day of the rest of my life.”

Benjawan and Edward had the wedding day of their truest dreams. It was a perfect, magical fairytale. The rain showers had disappeared in the morning. By afternoon, the weather was serene and perfect. The sun reflected perfectly off of the waves, and the temperature was warm with a slight ocean breeze. “Before the walk down the aisle I could hear our steel drum musician, Toko Irie, playing his island beats. Then, the best song ever started playing in the background, ‘Perfect,’ by Ed Sheeran. My oldest child, Cody, walked me down the aisle. My daughter, Jordan, was my best girl, and my 3 youngest boys, stood with the most amazing man that I was marrying. It was truly the most perfect magical wedding that could have been planned and executed flawlessly!”
