Jessica and John met for the first time in 2013. They had given online dating a try and had their first date at Gogo Bar in Melbourne, Australia. The date was a dream come true, and their love story began to unfold. Fast forward to a few year later, and Jessica and John were saying, “I do.” They had an unforgettable wedding day surrounding by 100 of their beloved wedding guests. Jessica will never forget when John stole here way during the reception to have a moment away together. Jessica loved having this alone time together to reflect on the wedding day they just shared.
John’s proposal was absolutely adorable. The couple had just bought their new puppy, Longfellow, in the weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day. Taking care of the pup was challenging, so when John offered to entertain him for the afternoon, Jessica was thrilled! After some relaxing, she opened the bedroom door to see roses leading downstairs leading to Longfellow’s playpen. When Longfellow looked up at Jessica, she saw the ring behind his collar! John snuck up from behind Jessica, and got on one knee. He asked Jessica to be his wife, and she was completely thrilled!

The bride wanted to have a simple, elegant wedding design that remained true to the couple’s personality with quirky, unique, science themed elements. They wanted to have some fun with their theme but also keep things on the simple side. Their venue, Scienceworks Museum, was the perfect setting to compliment their theme. The wedding day was beautiful and sophisticated while bringing in the couple’s love of science. It was the perfect ambiance for Jessica and John! When wedding planning, Jessica made sure to stay true to her vision and what she truly wanted for her wedding day. Her advice for future brides-to-be is to remember that the day is about you and your partner, and to follow your heart and your wedding vision! It can be overwhelming with so many options and opinions, but just have the wedding day that you truly want! Congratulations to Jessica and John!
