Rebecca and Alex have a love story that goes all the way back to their preschool years almost twenty years ago. They even have pictures holding hands as cute five-year-old children. Of course, this was just the beginning of their love story. Rebecca and Alex crossed paths again in high school, and they began dating in May of 2008. Fast forward to June 3rd, 2017, and the lovebirds said, “I do,” surrounded by their beloved friends and family.
Rebecca and Alex both attended Birmingham-Southern College, which became their home away from home. It felt perfectly appropriate for Alex to propose at their special place. He popped the question on September 2, 2016. That evening, Alex had told Rebecca that he invited their college friends to watch an Alabama football game together, but he actually had a magical evening planned for the love of his life. Rebecca and Alex were on their way to dinner when he parked on a bridge overlooking the Birmingham skyline. Rebecca admired the city lights, and then turned to find Alex down on one knee.
The gorgeous wedding day took place at Christ United Methodist Church with a reception to follow at The Barn at Sycamore Farms. The first time Rebecca and Alex saw each other on their special day, they were in awe. As high school sweethearts, Alex and Rebecca had plenty of time to daydream about their wedding, but the day completely surpassed their expectations. The first time Rebecca and Alex saw each other, they were completely speechless and filled with butterflies.
