Aileen and Chris had a gorgeous Key West wedding day surrounded by family and friends. The couple met in their home town of Key West almost ten years ago and their love story began to unfold. Chris planned the perfect proposal for the love of his life. The couple was celebrating his birthday in Deerfield Beach for the weekend while enjoying some surfing and relaxation. After dinner on the walk back to their hotel, Chris suggested that they take a walk out on the pier. It was a beautiful January evening with a chill in the air and lovely Christmas lights that reflected in the water. Chris gave Aileen a hug, and with his arm still reached around her, he pulled the ring out of his pocket and asked her to marry him. “It was perfect for us.”
The bride and groom felt such a sense of mutual calmness when they saw each other as Aileen walked down the aisle with her dad. They exchanged a long embrace and were ready to say I Do. The ceremony took place on a raised wooden deck that Aileen’s father had built when she was a child and overlooked the canal. The guests were seated in the family’s breathtaking backyard surrounded by tropical trees. The ambiance of the wedding day was organic and earthy with wooden signs, white orchids, and natural beauty as the backdrop. The wedding reception had an eclectic, rustic feel with bright, mixed flowers, bistro lights, and neutral, earthy table settings. “We just wanted it to feel like us, and it did.”
Aileen and Chris had a beautiful wedding day that reflected who they are as a couple from beginning to end. They felt so grateful to all of their wonderful wedding guests who were able to make it to Key West to celebrate their love and marriage despite their short timeline. They got engaged in January and were married in June, and were so thrilled that they were able to be surrounded by so much love on their special day. Aileen and Chris had a gorgeous ceremony with a reception to follow; the sun set and they ate and danced their way into the night.
