When many people think of Tennessee, they imagine picturesque, romantic fields with billowing trees and the scent of honeysuckle trickling through the air. For many couples, this vision sounds like the ideal setting for a wedding. The Barn at Sycamore Farms has brought this dream to life in rural Arrington, Tennessee. This beautiful venue sits on twenty eight acres of countryside, overlooking a 9,000 square foot island in the center of a two-acre lake.
Since the grand opening in June of 2016, The Barn at Sycamore Farms has hosted nearly thirty events, including corporate events, private events, and, of course, weddings. When a couple books the venue, they are given exclusive use of the entire property for twelve hours. The Barn at Sycamore Farms features a catering kitchen, a serving room, chiavari chairs, and décor for the reception. The ceremony can take place at several locations on the property, including the main hall, one of the two covered verandas, under the sycamore tree, and on the island.
The Barn at Sycamore Farms has many amenities, but there are a few reasons why the venue is one in itself. The 3,500 square foot cedarwood barn offers heating and air conditioning, making the space perfect for all seasons. “We offer the only luxury barn venue capable of accommodating 3,000 guests seated. As well, we are the only venue capable of seating all the guests and bridal party on an island for a ceremony in Tennessee.” Another favorite characteristic of the barn is enough to astonish brides and wedding goers alike—an eight-foot crystal chandelier that serves as the centerpiece in the main hall.
One of the most memorable events that has graced The Barn at Sycamore Farms was a July wedding that emphasized bright pinks and vibrant oranges. The bride and her father surprised everyone with an epic father/daughter dance. “The ten minute long routine was a well-rehearsed, upbeat compilation of 80’s hits, Michael Jackson tunes and Grease favorites. It was the highlight of the evening and got everyone on the dance floor.”
Much like a Sycamore tree, the success of the barn seems to be everlasting. While many wedding seasons may come and pass, each will continue to grow stronger than the last. The Barn at Sycamore Farms will be a memorable venue in the Tennessee countryside for years to come. For more on, “Meet me Under the Sycamore,” pick up a copy of Enchanted Brides on newsstands today!
