Jessica and Luis met at Florida International University in their first year English class. As they learned more about the other over the course of their relationship, they discovered they had met before. Years before, they were both in the same first grade class in elementary school. When they were both completely smitten with each other, Luis proposed how every girl wants to be asked, in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Once it was time to start making wedding decisions, the couple’s wedding planner knew just what to do. Jessica and Luis knew they wanted to have a rustic look with lots of lights. The cocktail tables had wine barrels as the base and the entire reception space shone from hundreds of café lights. Every detail worked together to create a stunning backdrop for their destination wedding in North Carolina.
The couple first saw each other when Jessica started walking down the aisle to her groom. “We were both extremely nervous but excited at the same time! I don’t like for all the attention to be on me but when I reached the altar and stood by Luis, I felt much better and even more excited,” Jessica said. “Once I saw her walking down the aisle, I lost all control of my emotions and started to cry. She looked absolutely gorgeous and I let her know the second she was in front of me,” remembers Luis.
For a destination wedding, it certainly had the feel of a homey celebration with 220 guests from all over the world including London, New York, and California. The Biltmore Estate looked magical and provided the perfect scenery for their wedding pictures. The fairytale day ended with all of their guests lined up outside with sparklers to send them on their way.
