The exciting idea of planning a live marriage proposal with a photographer is catching on, and we couldn’t love this romantic idea more. Jay Farrell Photography had the opportunity to capture Jared and Carsen’s memorable engagement on camera in downtown Nashville. Of course, Carsen did not know that Jay Farrell was involved until later on, making the entire event a complete surprise from her loving soon-to-be fiancée, Jared.
Jared called Jay Farrell Photography a couple of weeks before the proposal to share his sweet plan for the big surprise. Jared planned a romantic evening of enjoying a night out in downtown Nashville with a lovely dinner at Etch. He wanted to surprise Carsen and pop the question on the popular pedestrian bridge. This is the perfect spot to propose as it gives the best view of the Nashville skyline. On the bridge, Jared showed Carsen a picture of his nieces wearing sweatshirts that said, “Will you be my aunt?” Jay Farrell Photography says,”From where I stood, it was an obvious yes!”
Jay Farrell Photography was concerned that they would not have the luxury of enjoying the proposal outdoors. He had a backup location in mind for the event just to be safe. The forecast was cloudy and expected heavy winds, rain, and temperature drops. Thankfully, this held off long enough for Jared and Carsen to enjoy the beauty of the city outside on the bridge on this December evening.
The couple celebrated their engagement while being documented by wonderful documentary style photographer, Jay Farrell Photography. We know that Jared and Carsen will enjoy looking at their live marriage proposal photographs for years to come. “I figured it was only right to end up at their dinner destination to finish out the story for the night. I hope you’ve enjoyed this Downtown Nashville evening marriage proposal. Congratulations Jared and Carsen!”
