‘First Impression’ is what a wedding invitation is of your wedding day. It is a reflection of the love you and your groom share and your personalities. The invitation serves as a window to what your guests will be expecting for your day of celebration. We love these gorgeous invitations by Invitations by Leston for Lauren and Bo’s wedding day.
When choosing your invitation, start with what means the most to you and your fiancée in expressing the love you share with your family and friends. This will influence the style and texture of your wedding invitation and the decor of the wedding day. “This past year, it was a delight working with my beautiful baby cousin, Lauren Delgado, and her fiancé, Bo Hardegree of the Miami Dolphins, on their summer wedding. Lauren wanted an invitation that reflected modern chic and at the same time a festive wedding event.”
Lauren wanted her wedding to embody the elements of fun and chic, yet classic and formal. Lauren is a Cuban-American Miami native who considers herself more traditional and a little less trendy. Bo is an all-American Tennessee native who is traditional but also embraces modern and chic styles. “Our invitations were formal in terms of format, spelling, and packaging, but the gold engraved small caps font made it modern and chic, and the gold dots made it fun.”
When selecting the invitation that gave the perfect ‘First Impression,’ Lauren took into mind the design of the EPIC Metropolis ballroom. Lauren fell in love with the dots on the invitation because they mimicked the glass chandelier globes of the ballroom, and it reminded her of champagne bubbles. The invitation that Lauren chose was a pearl white ivory card stock with gold ink and gold foil design. The menu cards were the same color palette of the invitation with round borders.
“Ernesto is the prototype of etiquette, class, charisma, the ultimate host, and a man who takes the utmost pride in his work and produces a beautiful quality product. Everyone who works with Ernesto feels like a family member, whether a client or fellow wedding vendor.” – Lauren
