Jena & Blake

Jena and Blake first met playing volleyball with mutual friends. One day while camping at Fall Creek Falls National Park, Blake took Jena to find a geocache, which is an item in a world-wide scavenger hunt. The geocache was a poem and the last line said, “Read the first letter of each line.” As she did, Jena realized the letters spelt out, “Jena, will you marry me.” When Jena turned around, Blake was kneeling in the middle of the woods.

Wedding planning was easy for the couple. For colors they chose pink and gold, and they chose to have the ceremony and reception at Riverwood Mansion who took care of the rest of the planning with the vendors they work with.

On their wedding day, Jena and Blake agreed they would not speak with each other until the right time. The anticipation made them both very nervous but as soon as they saw each other, all those nerves disappeared. Jena recalls seeing Blake for the first time on their wedding day. “When I first saw Blake I was about to cry but noticed him crying, which made me laugh because he said he wasn’t going to cry!”

The rest of the day went by quickly and for the couple, it couldn’t have been a better day. The aisle for the ceremony was lined by white lanterns with candles inside and the couple stood under a beautiful arch with a flower crown. The bridesmaids were dressed in pink holding a bouquet of pink roses and baby’s breath, and the men wore gray with gold ties and a pink boutonnière.

The couple danced the night away and left with everyone holding sparklers. “It is just so special to see all of your ideas and dreams, and all the planning I did for a whole year come together for the most amazing night!”
