You’re wedding day will be the most cherished day of your life and it’s important to have a lot of photos to look back on. With everything you have to do on your wedding day it can be easy to take one less photo than you wanted to in order to get to your reception on time or be out of your venue on time. We spoke with wedding planner Just Save The Date about the importance of your wedding photos and what you can do to make sure you get all the ones you want.
To make sure you get the perfect portrait photos, more and more brides are starting to take wedding portraits on a different day than the actual wedding day. Spending the morning before your wedding day to go around and get the portrait photos you want allows you to be more relaxed on your wedding day. You can also work with your photographer to have a photo session when you get back from your honeymoon if you’re too busy leading up to the wedding.
Another way to capture all the wedding portraits you want is to take photos at multiple locations, not just the venue. Having multiple locations is a great idea, especially if you’re going to have a destination wedding. This way you can remember everything about where you got married including the little restaurant you ate at the day before and the street you walked down with your mom. You can also take time to get pictures where you first met or where he proposed.
Wedding photos are something you will look back on for the rest of the your life. It’s essential to take time and capture that special moment in your relationship, but most importantly, remember to have fun! Running around town for portraits gives you a chance to let your hair down and destress. Taking pictures at different locations around town, both indoors and outdoors, captures the essence of the most important day of your life.
