An Elegant Seaside Affair

The Ocean Key Resort & Spa, surrounded by the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico and elegance of Old Town Key West is the perfect venue to hold an elegant affair. This venue offers any designer the opportunity to create the most luxurious of events, or the simplest of affairs.

The design concept behind this photo shoot was to create a modern romantic oasis by the sea. Unique elements such as a floral chandelier replaced the classic canopy or arch traditionally used for weddings. The chandelier suspended over the bride held beautiful blooms of light pink garden roses, white hydrangeas, white dendrobium orchids, and lush white phalaenopsis orchids with whimsical blush ribbon cascading. The richness and gold hues of benches and gold chameleon chairs with the modern twist of ghost chairs blended two concepts into a unique space. A white LED Dance Floor provided this blank canvas something truly remarkable.

The centerpieces consisted of hues ranging from white to light pink. Pictured are white hydrangeas, light pink garden roses, silver brunia balls, sahara roses, white panda anemones, white garden roses, cascading white phalaenopsis and light pink hyacinth. The cascading globes with ribbon and floral blooms incorporated a whimsical element into the design.

In an intimate setting such as this one it is crucial to create a warm environment for the event. In designing this table we found ourselves leaning towards the warmness of the gold hues. The gold crush linen with a gold damask overlay was an intricate element in the overall concept of a table.

In order to create dimension throughout the table, vessels of different heights in gold were incorporated into the design. Having all elements in different shades of gold not only provided dimension to the design, but let the flowers be the main focus.
