Noelle & Matt met during summertime in 2010 when Noelle introduced herself to Matt at a local bar in Connecticut. Noelle was working as a waitress while on summer vacation from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Matt had just graduated from the University of Vermont and was visiting his family for a few months. A few days after meeting Noelle, Matt sent her a Facebook message. He was beaming with joy as he had met his dream woman. Their relationship continued to blossom while Noelle returned to school and Matt began his career as a nurse in the Army in Washington, DC.
Even though Noelle stumbled upon a picture of an engagement ring on Matt’s cell phone, she decided to forget about it after exploring the idea with close friends. However, on August 4th, 2013, Matt and Noelle decided to go hiking at Mount Bonnell in Austin, Texas. After Matt curiously circled a few select spots at the park, Noelle knew something fishy was going on. Then, Matt was down on one knee and asked Noelle to marry him!
Noelle and Matt had a beautiful wedding day on December 4, 2015 with a ceremony at Fort Zachary Taylor State Park and a reception to follow at Old Town Manor in Key West. Their romantic first look was the perfect beginning as their journey towards marriage. Noelle slowly made her way towards Matt, allowing anticipation to build, and finally surprised him. After lots of laughs, hugs, kisses, and twirls, they shared a few loving words and proceeded towards the rest of the day’s exciting events.
The decor for the ceremony and reception were similar in style with a relaxed, chic theme with some beachy elements. The primary colors used were purple, green, and gold. Noelle and Matt rented farmhouse style tables with gold chiavari chairs to give the reception a shabby chic feel with lush Italian Ruscus garland swirled with white Dendrobium orchids down the center of the table. The ceremony decor was simple and charming with bamboo arbor draped with white chiffon and two corner arrangements that matched the bouquet. The aisle was lined with baby palms, orchids, and tiki torches, and the steel drummer welcome the bridal party, bride, and groom as they walked in.
Noelle and Matt had a stunning wedding that was spectacular and perfect to everyone involved. With both of their families and friends living all over the country, it was really special to be able to have everyone together to celebrate their marriage. Old friends, new friends, and family travelled 4-24 hours to celebrate Noelle and Matt’s marriage in Key West.
