Gina & Tyler

Gina & Tyler had a beautiful, relaxed wedding day in Key West, Florida that they could never forget. October 24, 2015 was one of the most special days of their lives, celebrating the love that they share.

Gina and Tyler connected for the first time on social media; they had mutual friends and Tyler had found her through them. Tyler’s Hometown, Winter Haven, Florida is less than an hour away from Gina’s, Sebring, Florida. Gina used to go to Winter Haven vs. Sebring baseball games frequently and had no idea that her future husband would be out on the mound pitching!

Tyler was drafted by the Seattle Mariners after high school and Gina started attending the University of Florida. Their connection through social media led to countless hours of texting and phone calls for over four months before finally meeting in person. Gina booked a flight and flew to the tiny town of Clinton, Iowa, where Tyler was playing Low-A ball for the Clinton Lumberkings. Tyler picked her up from the airport, and their first interaction was comfortable and relaxed, like they had known each other their entire lives. They spent five days together before Gina headed back for school, and during that five days, Gina and Tyler knew what they had was special.

Tyler proposed to Gina during the trip she made to visit him for Easter. Tyler was playing for the High Desert Mavericks in Adelanto, California, and shared a two bedroom apartment with some of his teammates. Tyler got down on one knee and asked Gina to be his wife right in the apartment with no furniture and a mattress on the floor. “We happily celebrated our engagement without the big dramatic proposal and I loved every bit of it.”

Gina and Tyler shared a romantic first look before their wedding ceremony. From the bride: “Wow. That is the only word that comes to mind when I even try to put into words how we felt when we saw each other for the first time on our wedding day. Doing the first look was something I would highly recommend! I felt like an angel was standing in front of me and I am the luckiest girl in the world to join my life with this absolutely amazing man. We cried and Tyler kissed my hand and told me I was beautiful. Then we hugged and just held each other and it was so reassuring and brought such peacefulness in our hearts. It was by far the most special moment of my life and I will cherish it forever.”

Gina and Tyler decided to keep their wedding decor simple as their beautiful Key West venue, Old Town Manor, was absolutely gorgeous on its own. They added in a few nautical pieces to embrace the lovely Key West atmosphere, like blue mason jars and rope accents. The beautiful peach florals were fresh and lively with royal blue linens and bridesmaids dresses for a fun pop of color.

“The best way I can describe my wedding day was relaxing. Everything came together by the big help of my mom and our awesome wedding planner Kelly. So truly, I didn’t worry about anything because whatever was going to happen was out of my hands! It was amazing and a wonderful, peaceful, joyful experience.”
