Floral designs and arrangements are trending towards a vintage, bohemian floral style. This style is loose and not formed. Typically, flowers that are not normally used are seen in these bouquets along with simple and more traditional wedding floral accents. An example of this would be using Protea or another type of interesting wild flower that might come from a garden center and not a floral supplier. This flower is then mixed with more traditional selections of flowers like Ranunculus, Dahlias, or Garden Roses. Another great example of a vintage, bohemian design involves all greenery with one pop of color to create a beautiful accent to the bouquet so that it stands out.
The vintage-chic style has remained very popular for weddings and continues to be a beautiful theme in wedding florals. Many 2016 weddings are embracing a vintage-chic style but many brides are switching from silver mercury to more gold accents. Brass is making a comeback as well. Brides also continue to use beautiful, traditional color palettes in their floral designs including whites and creams. However, interesting greenery and pops of color are making their way into beautiful bouquets.
