Spring 2016 Trends: Metallics, Neutrals, and Blush!

SpringTrends5

Spring is just around the corner and we can’t wait to see all of your beautiful Middle Tennessee weddings. We love the under-stated, subtle color palettes that are popular for 2016 spring weddings. We recently spoke with Southern Events Party Rental Company about the beautiful trends making their way into spring weddings, and we adore the mix of neutrals and metallics that brides are opting for!

Many brides have chosen pastel color palettes for their spring wedding design in the past, but the emphasis on neutrals and soft, under-stated palettes is pretty strong this season. A lot of couples are leaning towards smooth ivory and champagne tones, letting their florals and greenery pull color into their tablescape. Garlands are very popular, especially when displayed down the length of beautiful tables, such as Southern Events’ Grayson Farm Tables.

Metallics have been a huge hit and this trend is not going anywhere this spring! Gold, rose gold, and silver can be brought in nearly anywhere in your design such as china, flatware, and floral containers or centerpieces. “Embrace mix and match! The more texture and tonality exhibited in spring event design, the better!”

Some of Southern Events’ most popular linen color for spring are champagne, ivory, and peaches n’ cream with some metallic tones. This brings in the light, carefree feel of the spring season. “Blush is still making brides, well, blush! We see that brought in through florals, bridesmaids dresses, napkins or small table decor. White is another great basic color at the top of our request list.” While many couples still love the rustic look, clean white palettes have made a comeback. This monochromatic scheme gives the decor and wedding party a chance to shine. If the bride and groom are looking for a simple way to ground a light color scheme, navy and charcoal are beautiful colors to bring in, making light colors, like white, pop on a table setting! The Serenity Blue Pantone color of the year is also a gorgeous color to bring into your wedding design.

One of Southern Events’ favorite ways to incorporate the spring season into design is the use of wildflowers; small, scattered bud vases can make a beautiful statement at an events. Also, vintage settees, accent chairs, and coffee tables are a cheerful accent that bring in the energy of the spring season. “With spring comes the amazing flexibility of event set ups! Many times, clients want to highlight outdoor spaces at their venue to maximize the space and gorgeous weather available for their guests. Our Sutton pieces have the ability to dress up any patio or garden area- plus, they mix and match into all different shapes and sizes of seating options.”
