Having a themed wedding is such a personal, unique experience that allows the couple to bring in their own personal interests and passions into their wedding day. This beautiful, charismatic wedding day shot by Jay Farrell Photography is the perfect example of a unique themed wedding.
The couple, Nick and Alexandra, have always loved Halloween and even had their engagement session at a cemetery. You can view the engagement shoot here.
Nick and Alexandra’s wedding took place at the historic Russell House in Springfield, TN. This venue was the perfect location for the Halloween themed wedding with an incredible winding staircase and deep purple walls. The weather was also a bit eerie on the wedding day creating an extra fitting setting for the Halloween themed wedding.
The chairs in the ceremony room were decorated with black ribbons and the three-tier cake was decorated with black flowers. Other decor include black and orange jack-o-lanterns, candlesticks, and black and white linens. Alexandra’s dress was also custom made and ended up being the dress of her dreams.
This themed wedding is a great example of the importance of venue selection. The Halloween theme exists throughout each element inside of the venue, making the Russell House the perfect choice for Nick and Alexandra’s Halloween themed wedding.
Themed weddings are such an interactive experience for a bride and groom. Their personalities radiate throughout the wedding decor and venue, making the wedding day seem truly unique and special for them. When deciding that a themed wedding is the route you want to take, make sure to choose a theme that you will remain passionate about as a couple, so you can reflect on this special experience when looking through your wedding photography. Nick and Alexandra adore Halloween and always have, so they will have a blast looking through their wedding photos for years to come.
