“For the last ten years, I’ve been writing songs through the voice of a woman: my incredible singing partner Jennifer. With my solo project, for the first time in a long while I got to sing my songs directly from me to you. “Light Me Up” is a love song, about how it feels to be loved by a woman. There’s something magic about the way someone looks at you when they love you — like you’re a superhero wearing a cape, even if that’s not always how you feel about yourself. That kind of love changes you for the better, forever. I wanted to capture that. Bush has been leaving his mark on music for more than two decades.
