Choosing the bridal look is such a beautiful and exciting time for any woman. Saying “yes to the dress,” picking out gorgeous shoes, accessories, and the makeup and hair look truly makes brides feel ready to walk down the aisle. However, you may be a bride who wants to enhance their look a little bit more with a stunning, modern headpiece. We recently spoke with South Florida designer, Judi Bradford, of Judi Bradford Designs, get the scoop on her incredible bridal headpieces for a modern bridal look.
Judi Bradford’s designs are one-of-a-kind Fascinators that add a jaunty accent. The designs are made from traditional fabrics including tulle, satin, pears, and lace in contemporary stands. Judi Bradford Designs always has a few headpieces on hand for brides to choose from, or can create a customized headpiece for a bride thats wants a more specific look to match her dress or wedding theme! Judi Bradford Designs also creates hand dyed and pleated shibori scarves that float on the breeze, and can add a second accent as a sash or wrist ornament. Judi Bradford’s designs add such a unique flair to any bridal look. Sometimes the entire bridal party chooses to wear Judi Bradford Designs including the mothers of the bride and groom!
Judi Bradford designs her headpieces while keeping South Florida brides in mind as Judi Bradford Designs is located in Key West. In Key West, many weddings are in casual settings like the beach, on a boat, or in a garden. The designs also look great in formal church weddings. Judi Bradford’s fanciful designs fit in perfectly with these wedding locations while echoing classing wedding wear in a scaled down way. “The bride has veiling and elegant white-on-white or color themed accessories that still allow freedom of movement.”
We asked Judi Bradford about some of her favorite styles and how her headpieces modernize the bridal look. Judi Bradford likes the small base Fascinator with a pouf of tulle and something that dangles. She mentioned that Fascinators are usually worn on the corner of the forehead and a curl of ribbon or a cascade of veiling adds a nice asymmetrical touch. Judi Bradford has also created some shoulder length veils that look very charming with a strapless dress! “There is no doubt that the Fascinator-style headpieces are a current mode — and the next generation of British Royals have certainly helped establish that!”
