Making of the Cover

At Enchanted Brides, we get many inquires on how we select our covers. The answer is very simple. It’s you, the bride, who inspires us. Yes, you are the one who sets the trends in weddings. The design and style of your wedding is the window to today’s weddings. Then once the window is opened, it’s our mission to take the time to share this with all of our brides.

Once the Enchanted Brides staff decides on what’s the hottest trend in bridal at that moment, they begin the process of selecting all the elements for the ‘Making of the Cover’. This includes a photo shoot site, casting a model, selecting gowns, headpieces, florals, jewelry, and the color palette. It seems like a lot of work in getting all the pieces put together but honestly, it’s a lot of fun.

For this cover, our staff chose The Pier House in Key West as the site for the photo shoot. This hotel sits at the end of the world famous Duvall Street. The property is a hidden gem in paradise. After a day of scouting areas on the property, a shot sheet is drafted for our photographer, Christy Transier of Transier Photography and a date is set for the shoot. Now, it is time to meet with the design team of vendors to create the feel and look for the cover.

This led to hours of meeting with top creative designers in the wedding industry. We had a blast meeting with these vendors. You really spend a lot of time enjoying what you do when visiting with these creative folks. They think outside the box and that leads to creating magic with their talents.

And magic was truly created with a design team of so many talented vendors. We want to thank Elizabeth from Bella Lilly Studios who once we explained our vision for the shoot, created an outrageously beautiful crown of flowers and bouquet; Jill from Jill’s Regalia who chose every piece of precious gems to design exquisite jewelry; Lorri from Key West Hair & Make-up for choosing the perfect color palette; the staff of J. Del Olmo for selecting the “Perfect Dress”; and the staff of the Pier House for allowing us to use their beautiful property as the backdrop to the cover.

You may have noticed our beautiful model, Ashley, standing in the middle of the ocean. Yes, we saw that cement platform a few yards from the Pier House and decided to put the model on top of it. Captain Richard Gomez from Captain Conch Charters and his crew made this crazy beautiful vision come to life.

We would love to thank all the brides for inspiring us in creating the cover and the current issue of Enchanted Brides. Take a moment to see some of the outtakes of the “Making of the Cover” and enjoy every moment of creating your own magic with your wedding.
