My girlfriend and I just returned from 6 wonderful days at LADE. The comforting and welcoming atmosphere here is second to none. The staff is as advertised and more. Every little thing we needed or requested was provided instantly, and with a smile. Chef Andrea didn’t miss a beat in preparing a separate vegetarian dish at each meal for my newly pregnant love. Anyone who visits Costa Rica can ensure a fabulous trip by choosing LADE.

This small hotel provides everything. The staff are so amazing, Tati and the staff were attentive and stealth. Andrea the chef was amazing and it was worth staying in for the amazing meals she and the cooks prepared…all meals were great for that matter. This is the type of vacation where you wanted to hang out at your hotel, not just a place to hang your hat while you explored. Fransisco drove us when we needed to go to town or a site, but really we didn’t want to go anywhere except for the beach a few times. The evening sunsets were amazing. We got the music going, danced, enjoyed the pool, and spa treatments were a bonus.
I would recommend this hotel for newly weds, romantic get aways, or book the whole hotel with friends/family (which is how I was invited!).

We just spent 2 nights at LADE and had an unforgettable experience. The best way to describe this resort to someone is to picture yourself staying in someone’s fancy guest house. Five rooms (and one detached room) surround a pool and central courtyard with a kitchen/dining room/living room. The view and sunset are out of this world. You get to meet lots of the local wildlife including monkeys in trees! Step down a level and enter the spa, overlooking the same amazing view.
Breakfast and lunch are included, and we stayed on for dinner too. Chef Andrea made wonderful gourmet meals using the freshest ingredients (meat/fish/fruit). The kitchen staff prepared some of the most refreshing smoothies I have ever had too!
Our time at LADE was quiet and relaxing. We did not leave the property for any activities except to do the challenging 5K walk around neighboring hills. We were away from the hustle and bustle of every day life and of lots of other tourists. It was a wonderful way to clear our minds and be still.
LADE is a special place. It has lots of charm and elegance without being pretentious.

Rooms were very nice and made every day. We stayed in the pool side king that had an outdoor shower that was awesome! And in my opinion had plenty of privacy, not as much as the detached suite or the Eros suite but still just as good. Also laundry was washed folded and returned same day.
Tips… Stay longer than you think you want to (I tried to change my airline tickets last minute and felt like 5 days was too short). Bring hiking shoes and calamine lotion for bug bites. Do the zip line tour, catamaran tour and couples sunset dinner romantic massage.
Overall this place is awesome and we will be coming back many more times.
