Nowadays, cocktail hours are going above and beyond the options of beer and wine. Brides and Grooms are getting super creative with their cocktail hours, and I am loving every bit of it. There are various ways you can spice things up but one of my favorite ideas is offering up a taste of the season that could both have alcohol and not. Check out these ideas below!
When I think of Fall, I think of Cider. There is something about a delicious and fresh apple cider that brings all of those warm fuzzy feelings. For a Fall Wedding, consider serving hot apple cider or having an apple cider bar. Provide guests with options for additions like cinnamon, nutmeg, or orange. Of course, you could also offer this sweet drink with a liquor to spike things up!
For Winter Weddings, I love the idea of having a Coffee Bar or a fun Hot Chocolate Bar as well. Instead of having a signature cocktail, you could offer signature coffee drinks, like For Love of Latte or Eat, Drink, Be Merry Mocha-whatever your heart desires! For Hot Chocolate you could use dark and white chocolates along with milk chocolates and provide fun stirrers in forms of marshmallows!
Houston Station in Nashville has an amazing coffee shop that can be added on to your reception called Noteable Blends that is pictured below!
Spring to me is the time of rebirth and renewal and many times, I think of all of that wonderful fresh produce begin to appear again in my grocery basket. For Spring Weddings, I love the idea of using fresh produce in water to offer guests from the ceremony to the reception. Cucumber, Lemon, Mint, Strawberry, Pineapple all offer up delicious options to add to your water to give it a little kick in flavor that your guests will love!
I believe I’m not the only one who instantly thinks of lemonade when I hear “Summer”. Summer Weddings offer the perfect opportunity to offer fun lemonade drinks at your cocktail hour. Whether with vodka or not, there are plenty of different variations from Strawberry Lemonade to a Lavender Lemonade. Pick and choose your favorite flavors to serve guests!
