When it comes time to plan the overall style of your wedding, a lot of different ideas may pop into your head. Colors, textures, backgrounds all flutter in a flurry above your head and the choices seem endless. Maybe you should consider an entire “theme” for your wedding. Theme weddings sound daunting and maybe even cheesy, but let Phil and Lynne’s exquisite Hemingway themed wedding turn those judgements away.
Lynne and Phil knew they wanted a beautiful beachside wedding to exchange their “I Do’s” and as soon as they settled on Key West, they knew Hemingway had to be a part of it. American author Earnest Hemingway resided in Key West during the 1930’s and it was here that he thrived in the vibrant community. Lynne and Phil wanted to re-create that glamorous vibrancy with their wedding.
From customized Save the Date cards replicating the movie poster from the film adaptation of To Have and Have Not, to themed drinks from Hemingway’s recipes, to the decor to showcase Hemingway’s love of travel, it all tied together while still keeping things completely classic and elegant. The location of the wedding was at the Southernmost House (a place Hemingway actually visited) and guests were draped in silk, pearls, and feathers. It was an affair for the ages that even Hemingway would have raised a glass to.
