The Loveless Barn was built from the ground up for one purpose – hosting special events. With a large lawn, two covered porches, a private courtyard and walls that roll open to the outside, the Loveless Barn can handle any event, big or small, casual or formal. Sitting back behind the world-famous historic Loveless Cafe, the Loveless Barn looks right at home, poised ready to welcome your guests to your next big event.
When was the Loveless Barn built?
The Loveless Barn was opened in January 2009 and has played host to hundreds of events ever since. It’s amazing to realize that virtually every single one is different from the next!
What does the barn offer besides a beautiful facility?
Most importantly, the Loveless Barn offers flexibility. Unlike many venues, which have been converted into event facilities, the Loveless Barn was designed and built with events in mind. This makes for a venue that easily transforms into most any vision a client desires. But the flexibility doesn’t end at the facility – it continues with our diverse food, beverage and service offerings. We’re obviously famous for our Fried Chicken and Biscuits from the Loveless Cafe, but Loveless Event Catering offers even more to love! We excel at elegant plated dinners, casual family style service, sizzling action stations and so much more. Our biggest goal is to make planning an event a stress-free experience. We’ve got the venue, food, tables, linens, chairs & rentals taken care of, but we will also arrange décor lighting & draping, help with entertainment, floral arrangements. Our side porches, courtyard & large lawn are amazing to spread out on to and can help accommodate a large guest count – or give you specialized areas for an intimate ceremony, cocktails, games or even just a place to chat. The space can be created into anything you want it to be.
What is your favorite look for the barn this season?
That’s a hard one to choose because we’re fortunate to see a so many different looks. I will have to say my favorite look was when a client had 6 points of draping that went all the way up to the rafters in the main hall of the barn with lighting along the draping and a large crystal chandelier hanging from the center which sparkled above the head table that sat more than 30 people! She had an amazing sequin chevron runner and warm tones of champagne, ivory, taupe, browns were accented with a pop of peach, coral, yellow and orange in her flowers. It was a beautiful way to combine the rustic and southern feel of the Barn with elegance so many brides desire.
What is the best feature of the Loveless Barn?
For many, it’s being part of the history that is the Loveless Cafe. We see so many of our happy couples come back to the Cafe year after year to celebrate their anniversary. And when hosting groups from out of town, it’s even more special. What I love most about the Barn is that is the perfect canvas for blending bride’s desires to have something that is both beautiful and elegant, yet casual and comfortable.
We’re also very excited about our new event space that we’re expecting to have open for the holidays – The Harpeth Room! This is going to be the perfect space for a bridal showers and intimate rehearsal dinners, offering the quintessentially-Southern experience with hearty family-style meals.
